What I Do

As an experienced Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist I have worked with children, teens, individuals, couples and families in a variety of settings. I specialize in relationships, individual and couples counseling, women's issues, depression and anxiety. In therapy you will find a holistic, strength based, client centered approach, where your personal skills and values are utilized to help overcome the areas in which you are currently stuck. My goal is to create a safe therapeutic environment to promote growth, healing and connection, moving you towards accomplishing your goals.

Approach

I work from a systems perspective, taking into account the larger systems that each of us are a part of, including relationships and interactions that shape who we are and what we do. Additionally, I work from a strength-based and client centered perspective. Meaning that I believe each person has a unique set of strengths, perspectives, and ideas that can be used to help them move past their current struggles. I see therapy as a tool, assisting people in seeing what is possible for their lives, and developing their own voice. Let me offer you unbiased support and encouragement in developing your motivation for change.

Education and Training

I received my Masters of Arts Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Mary's University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Since completing my masters degree I have obtained other certifications in hopes of better serving my clients by offering experiential, holistic interventions. I'm currently certified in Prepare & Enrich, Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, EMDR, and have completed a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training.
